Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of SentinelVision Pro software and this website.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SentinelVision Pro software ("Software") and the SentinelVision Pro website at sentinelvision.net.za ("Website"). By using the Software or Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software or Website.

1. License Grant

Subject to these Terms and your payment of the applicable license fee, SentinelVision Pro grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • Install and use the Software on a single device ("Installation") for your personal or business use.
  • Access the licensed AI features (Zone Detection, Loitering Detection, Weapon Detection, People Counting) for the duration of the purchased license period.

This license is for a single Installation. If you wish to run the Software on additional devices, a separate license is required for each device.

2. License Restrictions

You may not:

  • Share, sell, sublicense, rent, or transfer your license key to any other person or entity
  • Use a single license key across multiple installations simultaneously
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Software
  • Use the Software for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels within the Software

3. License Duration and Expiry

Licenses are sold for a fixed duration (1 month, 3 months, or 12 months) starting from the date of activation. Upon expiry:

  • The licensed AI detection feature(s) will cease to function.
  • You will receive advance warning notifications via the dashboard and Telegram (at 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before expiry).
  • All other aspects of the Software — camera monitoring, alert history, settings — continue to function normally after expiry.
  • Renew by ordering a new license from our order page.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is accepted by EFT / bank transfer in South African Rands (ZAR).
  • Banking details are provided in the order confirmation email.
  • License keys are generated and delivered by email within 24 hours of payment being confirmed.
  • Prices are as published on the Pricing page at the time of order. Prices may change without notice but will not affect orders already placed and paid.

5. Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of license keys, we do not offer refunds once a license key has been issued and delivered. However:

  • If you encounter a technical issue that prevents you from using the Software, please contact us and we will work with you to resolve it.
  • If a license key fails to activate on a valid installation, we will investigate and replace it at no charge.
  • If you have not yet received your license key, you may request a full refund within 48 hours of payment.

6. Software Updates

We provide software updates to active license holders at no additional charge. Updates are delivered via the in-app one-click updater. We reserve the right to modify, improve or discontinue features in updates. We will not remove core functionality without reasonable notice.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranty, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • That the Software will operate without errors or interruptions
  • That detection results will be 100% accurate in all conditions
  • That the Software is suitable for any particular purpose

AI-based detection is probabilistic and not infallible. SentinelVision Pro is intended as a supplementary security tool and should not be relied upon as the sole means of securing your property.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SentinelVision Pro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Software, including but not limited to loss or damage resulting from a missed detection event, system downtime, or missed Telegram alert.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Software shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant license in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Software only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to surveillance, data protection and privacy. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of video surveillance complies with the laws of your jurisdiction and that appropriate notices are provided to persons who may be monitored.

10. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Software, including its source code, design, algorithms and documentation, remain the exclusive property of SentinelVision Pro. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Software or Website after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
